Biosand Water Filters

Biosand Water Filter- Decorated with Leaves on GreenThe biosand water filter (BSF) is a simple, yet highly effective adaptation of the traditional slow sand filter, which has been used for community drinking water treatment for almost 200 years. The biosand filter is smaller (3 feet tall and 1 foot square) and adapted for intermittent use, making it suitable for use in people’s homes. The filter container can be made of concrete or plastic and is filled with layers of specially selected and prepared sand and gravel. The sand layer removes pathogens and suspended solids from contaminated drinking water.

  1. An impressive share! I’ve just forwarded this onto a
cokworker who had been conducting a little research
on this. And he actually bought me dinner due to the fact
that I stumbled upon it for him. Thanx for spending some time to
talk about this matter here on your website.
